Photo: the harbour bridge, which I will climb over in one of the next days :-)...Got up at 13:00 and I ate my breakfast in full sun :-) It is very funny to see people walking here with thick furry coats when it is about 22 degrees Celcius, but it is still winter time here... Luckily I only have a minor jetlag. The wind is a bit chilly but in the sun it is perfect ! I decide to walk to the Opera house and back to discover the city centre. The centre on the map is like a stretched finger and it takes about 1 hour to cross it from one side to another. In fact the city is the New-York of Australia: only a lot cleaner and not at all smelly. Even the exhaust of the traffic is not noticed. Once I reach the circular Quays, the harbour bridge is beautifull. It connects the two parts of Sydney, which hold each 2000 000 inhabitants. Despite this huge number, it doesnt feel as a big city. The next eye-catcher is the Sydney Opera house, with its beautifull surrounding sitting lounges at the harbour site... Have a look in the picture above :-) Tonight my hosts have a friend on visit and we talk about Europe till late night. Peter emigrated in fact from Ireland many years ago...

eindelijk in het langverwachte Sydney. Ik moet zeggen, het ziet er nog uit zoals 3 jaar geleden. En uw logement; van a room with a view gesproken...Prachtig! Waar precies is het gelegen in Sydney?
Ondertussen heb ik mijn naslagwerk gelezen en het 'Queen Victoria building' moet je zeker es bezoeken. Da's dat centrum met die klokken en mooie mozaiekvloeren.

Hey Emmy, ik ben gisteren toevallig in Queen Victoria Building terecht gekomen haha en t is inderdaad niet te doen van de luxe en pracht en praal. Ik zet er morgen wel een foto van op deze blog. Het moet gezegd: als de Engelsen en de Ieren hun uiterlijk niet mee hebben, dan hebben ze toch met stijl gecompenseerd lol. Voorlopig nog geen cute Aussies gezien, dat kan toch niet verdomme op 4 miljoen inwoners :-)
